>> We believe in the holistic approach to good health -- the mind, body and spirit working together to achieve a healthy state. Periodontal disease is generally a chronic condition and related to your underlying health.
............................................
>> We believe in dental education as an integral part of treatment to help the patient become their own advocate so they understand their condition. What you do at home on a daily basis is more important than what is done in the dental office.
............................................
>> We believe that "we are what we eat" -- sound nutrition counseling can affect the entire health of the whole body which includes the mouth. We explain how your food habits can directly affect your ability to heal, maintain your oral and overall health.
Keeping Great Smiles Healthy
For Over 15 Years
>> We believe in simple, non-invasive approaches to dentistry as our first choice. Plain talk, easy-to-understand explanations are important so the patient can become an active partner involved in his or her treatment.
............................................
>> We believe that certain prescription drugs can affect and compromise oral health. There are over 400 medications taken by the general population each day that can dry the mouth which can lead to tooth decay and others that can cause depletion of important vitamins which the body needs to stay healthy.
............................................
>> We believe in providing the best possible dental care for our patients with their total health a priority. Allow us to serve you!

Periodontic Dentistry
Periodontic dentistry is concerned with treating gums and gum diseases. Periodontal disease or gum disease is used to refer to gingivitis and periodontitis.
Gingivitis
Gingivitis is an inflammatory condition of the gingival caused by factors including inadequate hygiene, smoking, certain drugs and hormonal changes that occur in puberty and pregnancy.
Periodontitis
Periodontitis follows with the destruction of the supporting structure of the teeth and is influenced by factors including the individual's immune and inflammatory response. It is initiated by microbial plaque. Periodontitis, if left untreated, can cause tooth loss, mouth oder, bad breath or halitosis. It has been associated with increased risk of having strokes, heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer's, osterperosis, pancreatic cancer, tongue cancer, and preclampsia and increased risk of low-birth-weight babies in women of childbearing years.

Types of Treatments:
Scaling and Root Planning
Scaling and root planning are one of the periodontal techniques used to deep clean and treat gums affected by gingivitis and periodontosis.
Aeshetic Gingivectomy
Aesthetic gingivectomy is commonly done to improve the gum contour in harmonizing the appearance of the natural or prosthetic dentition giving more symmetry.
Gingival Recession and Gingival Grafts
Gum recession refers to the receeding gumline. Gingival grafts or periodontal plastic surgery can be done to create a thick, tough gum tissue called "attached gingiva" which will prevent further recession or in some cases cover the existing recession.
Esthetic Periodontal Crown-Lengthening Surgery and Bone Graft
Esthetic periodontal surgery is usually performed to change the dimension of the front teeth and to optimize the esthetic outcome of treatment with new crown restorations or other esthetic dental care. Crown lengthening can optimize the amount of tooth available for restoration.
TMJ
This is the treatment of malfunctioning jaw joints often arising from teeth which no longer fit together properly. This condition is often manifested by clicking, popping pain or headache.
